Emerging technologies are technologies that are perceived as capable of changing the status quo.
These technologies are generally new, however, include older technologies that are still being developed, such as mobile phones, tablets, iPads, computers, 3D printers, robotics and many web applications.
It is important for you to be able to read and interpret print and online instructions to access and use technology. Your teacher will provide many visual demonstrations throughout the course.
